Into Ye Little Wood, following in the footsteps of Flynn’s friend Sepy. Coconut Grove, Miami
Per the previous posts and superb Flynnvestigations of baronheinz:
Into Ye Little Wood we go ...
Ye Little Wood Metal Gate
Not fareth from Ye Little Wood hood, on Calle Oche, featuring the old culture of Errol & Sepy’s old Cuban stomping grounds.
:
Across the calle, a restaurante featuring a painting of La Bodeguita del Medio, the epicenter of Errol & Sepy’s pre-Castro drinking grounds .
For the record, I was unable to get updated photos of Sepy’s fascinating “charging bull” manse because of new neighbors, fencing and security, but I did get to see most of it from a distance of about only twenty yards, and, quite surprisingly, it appears nearly exactly how it did on my last visit, with, as far as I could see, apparently little or no further construction in over two years!

Dear fellow Flynn fans,
I came across a funny Aussie anecdote loosely attached to our Hollywood hero.
In July of 1959 a seasoned schooner by the name of “Sea Fox” got lost in the Timor Sea. She had sailed from Darwin and was reported missing a few days later. On board were magician John Calvert, female singer Pilita and monkey Jimmy of Tarzan film fame.
When brought in by the Australian Navy she at least had not sunk, but bunked at a sand bank. Soon rumours made the rounds that Errol Flynn had stranded his yacht.
The combination of a charismatic moustacheod yachtsman accompanied by an exotic woman plus a monkey actor in tow seemingly always equalled Fynn in Down Under. Hear more here: blogs.abc.net…
Enjoy,

This man was an actor, athlete, and aviation pioneer, who once built something unique for Errol. He’s been called “the original British rock star.” A famous Hollywood star, used to work for his aviation business. Among many movies, he made very highly regarded ones with Bette Davis, Victor McLaglen, Leslie Howard, and Laurence Olivier. I could drone on but let’s just say he was A Man of Many Talents.
Who is he, what was it he built for Errol, and who was his famous future-star employee???

Did I miss it or did no one report on the fact that 2 Flynn alumni, from his very last dramatic appearance (The Golden Shanty), passed last year:
Patricia Barry (Adie Walker)
Arthur Hiller (Director) below with Errol.
