When the Baron sired Surrey

Dear fellow Flynn fans,

here is a peek-a-boomshell of our Hollywood hero mingling with the Hurrycane in mink, Diana Dors, at a garden party in England of 1952. The very self concious and sophisticated DD, a perfect mix between Marilyn and Mansfield, knighted herself “the first British sex symbol since Lady Godiva”. Concerning his look, Errol agreed totally.

See: www.britishpathe.com…

And here is a musical tribute to this Brit Empress: www.youtube.com…

Enjoy,

Yes its great. I saw Miss Dors on youtube recently at one of those hollywood autograph shows. She is still keeping herself in good shape.

Highly unlikely. Diana Dors died in 1984.

I love these clips! Was Errol there filming Master of Ballantrae?

Dors was really swinging, twinarchers. And very well preserved. Even way back in the Swinging Sixties. Before she finally waned, she was permanently waxed. Here’s Madame Tussaud’s take on her, on the iconic Beatles cover of Sgt. Pepper. She’s to the right of Shirley Temple (physically, that is, not politically.)

Even her cars were curvy:

In that photo above thanks to Heinz, we see Diana Dors at the zenith of her beauty. She had a brief run in Hollywood as the new Marilyn Monroe and even did a nude layout in Playboy magazine. In the 1960’s Miss Dors began putting on weight until she became a grotesque cartoon of her former self. To her credit, Diana Dors became a first-rate character actress and did excellent dramatic work in films like ‘Nothing But The Night’ (1973) with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. She was once married to British comic actor Richard Dawson of Hogan’s Heroes (1965-1971) who was also a prime suspect in the murder of Bob Crane. Ralph Schiller
