Lieber Heinz!
Your picture was taken in September 1958 and therefore maybe Beverly’s 16th Birthday party, which apparently was a big event and where he apparently announced that he wants to marry her, at least that is in one of his books or articles, can’t remember exactly.
Tina, if you look carefully the year 1958 looks like it has the last cypher overwritten. My strong guess is that it was Errol and Bevy`s last horrah in 1959. Our Hollywood hero looks bloated and very worn out. I think them were the last days of Robin Hood.
Lieber Heinz;
Between the picture is a time-span of a year.
Plus, I think the picture you posted on top with your POST is at the same party as the one you show – Beverly handing food to Errol – September 1958 – Bev’s 16th Birthday.
Please compare the clothe – Errol has the same suit and Bev the same dress, which you can see only slightly.
We sure are getting things sorted!
Take care
Sure does, zacal – and that he really knew how to make Errol laugh. I wonder what he was saying … maybe reminding him of when Wallace Beery took him up to Mulholland for his legendary first Errol Flynn party!!
Hard to tell for certain, Tina, but it appears Errol may be wearing a different suit and tie in this photo? Do you know if this (second?) party was one actually held at Ciro’s, or elsewhere? (The waiters’ uniforms may be a good clue.)
I was referring to your (very recently deleted) comment with the above photo stating this photo was taken on the same date as the other photo, Tina. Once you deleted that from your comment, my subsequent comments will not be clear to other readers.
I think the issue has been resolved now. They were separate parties on different days.
But I’m still not sure it’s clear where your “last birthday party” photo was taken, Tina. Do you know?
For the record, I believe the historic Ciro’s closed in ’57*, making it unlikely Beverly ever celebrated her birthday there with Errol. He did go there with Pat, however – almost certainly with Nora, and possibly even with Lili.
* A new Ciro’s subsequently opened as a rock-and-roll club, a venue noted for The Byrds’, and even Bob Dylan.
And thank you Sir Heinz for this one I have never seen! To sir Delvan, we would all like to see more of what you have! The two final birthday parties before Errol left on his final adventure.
Thanks, Delvan. Great note to you from Bev! That definitely looks like Otto!
Hi Tim;
I can’t see Otto, Mickey Rooney for sure and this picture is Errol’s LAST Birthday Party. June 20, 1959
Hi Tina. Otto, I believe, is the fellow beyond Beverly’s right shoulder.
Liebe Tina,
if you compare fotos there is one small difference- the moustache is missing!

It looks like Mickey Rooney had true affection for Errol. It’s a great photo.

Picture of Errol’s last Birthday Party!
Great photo. Thank you, Tina. Where was this party held?

Could this photo of Errol possibly be on a different date than the one above with Mickey?
Which one Tim? The 1958 or the 1959 party?
Mickey Rooney has to be 1958 – Bev’s 16th Birthday Party.

Happier Days for Errol @ Ciro’s:
Welcome Delvin, and thanks for your entrance present. Here is Errol delving into something else…

Hi timerider;
Not quite final – Beverly had another one in September 1959.
Same picture September 1958.
