Hey twinarchers! Great to have you back!!

Looks exactly like you say, with Livvie, from the set of Santa Fe, perhaps? – If so, with Flynn playing Jeb Stuart, Reagan as Custer. Or is it actually Boots? The boots, the hair, and the pant stripes are clues.

This is  from Boots. It may be a rehearsal, but this scene is in the film. I have never seen any behind the scenes stills of the Little Big Horn Battle. Maybe photographers were banned because of the problems with actors being hurt and killed. if anyone has any production shots of the LBH battle, I would love to see them.

What a nice way to start the day! This photo appears (I believe) in the wonderful book entitled “Errol and Olivia: Ego and Obsession in Golden Era Hollywood”? Hmmm.. Errol’s hair looks too short to be Gen Custer but it looks to be between takes-

My thoughts exactly about the hair, Maria! The best clue might be the wagon scene itself.

Errol looks like he’s got alot on his mind – probably the eescalating troubles with Lili, compounded by Olivia not being “his girl” any more.

It definitely is from Boots, twin and Maria.

That is beloved character actor Charley Grapewin in the wagon, who played California Joe.
