Yes, Debby. I should have written this more clearly. The first article refers to Errol’ having suffering a mild heart attack, as reported in the May 6, 1942 edition, while the photo refers to his suffering from “nervous exhaustion” in mid-July,, 1942.
It is not your writing Tim, I was just wondering. It must have been a hell of a scedule if he suffered from both in a few weeks time
I agree Debby, even for the Mighty Flynn it was all too much. Not only did he train for and perform in a very physically demanding boxing film while seriously ill, he did so while burning the candle at both ends. And then there was the torment of Lili, who put him through grueling divorce proceedings, and much else. The divorce was granted about a month before the heart attack, but the grief from Lili continued.
