ORIGINAL VINTAGE 8″ X 10″ PROMOTIONAL AUTOGRAPHED GLOSSY FINISH PHOTO BY. .ERROL FLYN ,DEDICATED TO CUBAN NEWSPAPER “EL DIARIO DE LA MARINA” IN HIS VISIT TO CUBA IN 1959
— Karl
Karl, thanks for posting this great late photo of Errol Flynn. By the time he was in Cuba making that miserable film “Cuban Rebel Girls”, Flynn had dropped considerable weight which made him look much younger.
Hi Karl & Ralph
This is certainly the best pic I’ve seen of Errol in 1959. Its true his weight loss during his Cuba visit did make a impact on his appearance

Great find, Karl! Errol looking lean and keen, coming straight from the barber‘s as it seems. Most interesting is, that he got himself some muscle (a weightlifter!) for the trip.
Photofantastical Heinz-
Talk about another most interesting EARLY photo!
Can’t tell if if that is an early iteration of a Richard the 3rd nose, or Cagney all suited up for a fire- and as for the fellow on the left?

King Karl, this royal boasts the most regal nose. But he didn‘t borrow it from Cagney, most likely it came from O’Welley- www.grunge.com…
Now we know where Errol got this idea from, as recounted in MWWW.
Dear Man of (Photo) Mystery Heinz- I KNOW of that Orsonian appendage story (courtesy of positively captivating Jeanne Moreau) and… contributing to an equal balance of proboscian secrets on the other side, the dancer Anne Miller had one as well (and supposedly LB Mayer, her one time paramour, in order to control her… would take it and she THEN would NOT leave the house.
All trivia though now, set aside, and to point my nose in the right direction, who (IN ACTUALITY) are the 2 gentleman in YOUR supplied photo?
As the saying goes: ” I got’s to know.”
I think this portrait picture of Errol Flynn is actually from the mid 1950’s and not 1959.
Karl, I think Ralph got a point here- match point matter of fact. Errol looks more big boodlian than Cuban rebel girlish. My pic allegedly depicts an unnamed Flynn travel companion at the time of his Castro visit. From the build I immediately thought of Frank Spellman, war photographer and US weightlifting Olympian. Confirmation needed!
Here’s a little more of that story (parley vous Francais?), and by way of illustration:

Oui, Oui…Che? The graphic novel mirrors Errol‘s colorful choice of Cuban clothing.
