New Book by Josef Fegerl

22 Oct

Mr Josef Fegerl has privately published a new Flynn book. It features thousands of photos from Flynn’s westerns, including movie art and junket photos. A few sample pages can be seen below. The book is not for sale. Enjoy!

I imagine how beautiful that book must be What a pity, that it is a limited edition

A look at the westerns of Errol Flynn sounds like a worthy project, especially since two of those films (“Dodge City” and “They Died with Their Boots On”) are some of his best work. Maybe Mr. Fegerl can be convinced to sale his book on this website as I am sure any Flynn fan will be interested in adding the book to their collections of books on Flynn. Looking at the table of contents he has added one of Errol’s appearances on television. (The “Playhouse 90” episode, “Without Incident”. I guess “The Golden Shanty” even though it has a western setting is not worth a mention or may not have produced enough material to garner a mention.) The curious item in the table of contents is the reference to a chapter on “Jamaica, 1995”. I know that was the year Hurricane Erin caused some tragedies on the island, but how do they relate to Errol and his westerns? At least if Mr. Fegerl is not willing to sell his book on this website, maybe he can tell us which libraries and where will house his book. Any way, may I congratulate Mr. Fegerl on completing such a worthwhile project as his book represents.–A. R.
