Twains you are quite right. Sir Roger Moore was even promoted as “the new Errol Flynn” when he started out in the movie business. Here is his encounter with Ol` Errol in his own words:

It took awhile to accept Roger as Bond. However he proved to be a formidable replacement to fill Bond’s shoes. The only other Bond with real suave was Brosnan. Craig is ruthless!
I must read the last book by Roger and the reading is so easy and addictive. In his 90th year he went through the door…..
