THIS IS GREAT! Too bad there is no recording of the impromptu jam session, as Flynn had a pleasant singing voice, as he has shown once or twice in his movies!–A. R.

Thanks, daringthorpe. That’s a lot of fun. The children and grandchildren of those singing cellmates of Errol’s are probably still telling the story of their being locked up with El Capitan Blood! Heck, maybe one or more of them is still around.

The Ballyhoo Ball! How appropriate. … Errol was obviously just getting prepared for his role as Barrymore, nothing more.

Here’s big Clint Walker earlier that evening with Errol and his daring date from Dublin.

P.S. Turns out Clint Walker once did a television pilot “remake” of Errol’s Rocky Mountain, called Mountain Fortress, circa ’55. I wonder if Flynn knew that. … Walker’s still alive. He might recall a good story or two about all the ballyhoo at the Ballyhoo Ball.
