As we (and most all of the first world!) know, one of the things Errol is most famous for is his astonishing list of gorgeous dates & girlfriends. Some of these stunning beauties remain legendary; some are almost entirely forgotton. How about we try to list as many as possible, with images from relevant timeframes when possible!
To start, may I introduce the magnificent Mary Ann Hyde:
— Tim
This will be an interesting thread full of lucky ladies Tim. :)
Linda Christian / Blanca Rosa Welter

Dear LOLlie,
Linda was Tarzan`s prime-maid, as well as the first Mistress Bond. She confided that Errol was her Don Juan at age 17 and became Tyron Power`s real life wife later on. Here are the three of them on a double date- does anyone know who this beautiful girlfriend is on Errol`s side?
Wow she must of had an interesting, fun life.Errol Flynn and Tyrone Power!
Whatever happened to shangheinz, Tina & Daniela Parola???
What do you mean Tim?
I don’t know what happened to shangheinz and so far nothing happened to me.
And what happened to Danielle, she was born in Paris on March 28, 1905 and died in Paris on September 2, 1998 at the age of 93.
Glad to hear that, Tina! What I was referring to/joking about, was the fact that you put up a post referencing shanghai & Daniele Parola, which then disappeared. But it’s back and even better, so, as Wilhelm Shakespeare used to say: all’s well that ends up good.
I was editing as some of the pictures wouldn’t show an my computer froze too. Problems posting that’s all!
Just noticed your question shangheinz:
“Here are the three of them on a double date- does anyone know who this beautiful girlfriend is on Errol`s side”?
It is Daniele Parola a French movie actress famous in the late twenties to approximately 1939. In addition, not just beautiful, she also was a very strong, fantastic swimmer and water-sport athlete an obvious attraction for Errol being such himself.
The picture was taken on September 14, 1949 in Cannes (shortly after the divorce from Nora July 7, 1949) at the Da Bottau’s Restaurant, still in existence and maybe the next time anyone of us is in Cannes we could have lunch or dinner there too, meaning walking a little in Errol’s footsteps.

Linda Christian! Perfect Addition for Cinco de Mayo, Lollie!
And here’s Lovely Clara Lou, who, to me at least, looks a lot like Lovely You-Know-Who! (And should be on our most beautiful (and talented) co-stars list, too!!
Errol was her greatest catch! But he was a Keeper who refused to be caught.

Dear LOLlie,
Young Viennese Hedwig Kiesler was more of a pal than a pick for Errol (maybe reminding him too much of his Tiger Lil`?) He regretted only not having starred opposite of her and stated that she would have been a perfect match in his unfinished Willliam Tell movie. She however went on to marry two of his buddies: John Lodder and Teddy Stauffer.
Oooops thanks shangheinz, I guess we can still keep her as one of Errol’s most beautiful friends that was a girl.Maybe in a separate Errol gal pal section. :)

Don’t forget the lovely Martha O’Driscoll!
Isn’t she lovely? I like the expressions on Errol and the dog.
The dog is just a fur, that Errol is keeping for her.
I saw the wonderful new film “Cantiflas” this weekend. Being a biop about the amazing story & life of Mexico’s most beloved movie star (aka Mario Moreno), it features “cameo” portrayals of DOZENS of Errol’s greatest Hollywood. colleagues & contemporaries – both North & South of the Border – from Chaplin to Dolores Del Rio to Liz Taylor to David Niven, among Many others. I VERY highly recommend it to fans of Hollywood’s Golden Age. The actor who played Cantiflas was astonishing and, IMHO, should be given very serious consideration for an Oscar.
In addition to Lupe Velez & Lind Christian. I strongly suspect but don’t know for certain that a god share of Mexico’s most sensational senoritas had relationships with Errol wirth noting here. Dolores Del Rio, for example. I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if Mara Felix also had his scalp!
Marguerite Chapman – Said to have been wanted by James Cameron to play “Rose” in his version of The Titanic.

Jean Simmons!

Not a thing of a fling here, Gent, as far as I know. Otherwise Errol would have felt the shiv of Scaramouche. He and Stewart Granger got along well and I doubt that Flynn persued Jean if only for that matter. Jimmy nonetheless went head to head with Howard Hughes to keep his wife out of “touch” of the flying film mogul.
Excellen points all, flingheinz! Though I certainly have no personal knowledge of a fling with Flynn, I have got this tip from a(nother) preeminent Errolian scholar, with some very interesting details. Perhaps the most fascinating detail involves Miss Elizabeth Taylor …
Proving the accuracy of your reply, the stewart if this information made it clear this was all over (for Jean, at least) before she left the Farm and rode off into the sunset as a Granger.
With that, I add Miss Lizzie:

It`s all coming back to me now, Steambath Tim. Do you refer to the sauna episode, where Barry Mahon supposedly got introduced to Liz and Jean in the nude at Mullholland Farm? Or was it Buster Wiles who got sweaty plams there and then? Who knows more!?
Anyways, Errol`s aquaintances with Jimmy`s wives- to- be go way back: www.theerrolflynnblog.com…
Alleged details are quite steamy, steamheinz, but conclusive evidence may well have evaporated by now. I’m not being intentionally slippery, nor am I unnecessarily watering down what I have heard, but I am not at liberty to give the whole, naked truth.
Having spit that out, my only steambath expertise flows from America’s Baden-Baden, aka Hot Springs, Arkansas, The Birthplace of Spring Baseball – where King Kelly, Babe Ruth, and other base-balling demigods used to get in a lot of hot water. I don’t want to get misty, but it was a wonderful place – as Dizzy Dean’s visage amply confirms at 0:21 in this very steamy base-ball video:
Heeding Socrates advice on knowledge & wisdom, grecoheinz, I defer to your obviously superior research and resources!
Probably the wises quote of ´em all- Socrates: “I know that I know nothing at all!”
You are indeed a wise guy, socraheinz. The unexamined quote is not worth quoting.

Gita on Zaca!?
Exactly where and when they first met I cannot say, Sir ArrowHeinz, but there may have been some shenanigans up in one of the 18-rooms at Hill-Haven, just out of range for both Mr. Bennett’s firearms and Lili’s champagne bottles.
Errol was exceptionally adept at dodging bullets, but a deep inside source suggests he may have had his neck saved in this particular situation by David Niven.
…. Regarding the sexy sailor who looks like Gita, I’ll have to keep studying closer, mate.
A top Flynnian authority identifies this radio show as having been recorded on a night that might figure prominently in the relationship between Errol & Joan. And, apparently, her hubbie wasn’t too happy about it.

Elinor Jocelyn.
After he nursed himself back to (financial) health at The Berkeley, Errol took up with Elinor. She was
“Endowed with a beautiful body and hardly a brain in her head.”
I’m not sure of if there are any photos of her, but, perhaps, she may be in the one below, enjoying herself next to Prince Errol in the shadows of stage right.

merci, monsieurheinz. Marjane is Marvellous!! I was not aware of how magnificent a voice she had, nor of her being in with monsieur Flynn.
Here, as you likely know, is her signature war song:
And here is a more stripped down performance Errol would have enjoyed, being that he was such a fan of water sports …

The Elizabeth Taylor sauna story by mahon must be a phony. Elizabeth at that time, ca. Late 1952 early 1953 was pregnant and married. Jean was married to Granger. Errol was in italy with Patricia.
