Errol’s Most Beautiful Co-Star

02 May

Dear EFB Authors & Colleagues:

Based on your impeccable taste, extensive expertise & often-infallible good judgment:

Who do you believe was Errol’s Most Beautiful Co-Star?

In what film with Errol do you believe she looks most beautiful?

With which co-star did Errol look best together?

What particular film clips and/or stills do you believe support your choices?

Errol certainly worked with some very beautiful actresses. But I think his most beautiful co star was Ava Gardner (The Sun Also Rises) she was just always such a beautiful looking lady, I wish they made more movies together.…

And he also looked great with Olivia.

While there are quite a number of beautiful ladies suitable for this title, I have seen Maureen o Hara in real life even
her advanced years cannot hide her beauty she must have been quite stunning in her day and she gets my vote…

Flynn looked best with Olivia in Boots I think. She looked her most beautiful in CB during the slave auction scene.
    This is a hard question.
Viveca was maybe the most beautiful and its only one film so that takes care of that. Alexis Smith certainly has her bedroom eyes on in Montana. She will shoot you then screw you which is the same as a James Bond vilainess. Awesome!

The answer to all is Olivia De Havilland. I always thought so but she once smiled at me and I was hooked. Eternally beautiful woman. I’ll go with any movie they were in together but will give the edge to “The Adventures of Robin Hood”.[img][/img]

Has there ever actually been a more beautiful couple on the Silver Screen than Errol & Olivia? I don’t think so.

Thanks, Lollie! Can’t get enough of ‘ErrOlivia” (or too little of “BrAngelina”!)

Errol looks so happy with her. …That scene when he gives his last goodbye to Libby Custer is so heartwrenching, personally & cinematically. For me, the greatest Hollywood couple ever.

Oh God I love them all! However Olivia just always seemed so sweet and full of passion and caring. I also think the chemistry was very good. I must vote for Olivia always.A grand lady living in “Parisii” or as one could say it Parie’. DITO on the Ashley casting!

I feel the same way, timerider! SO many beautiful co-stars (Errol must have the record!), but Errolivia was “a partnership that should have never ended!”

I seem to be alone in this but I wish Flynn would have done Gone With The Wind but as Ashley Wilkes. He would have been better than Leslie Howard. Just look at him in The Sisters and see how milk toast he was capable of. It would be easier to understand why Scarlett could not stop thinking about him and it would make sense with Olivia back with Errol.

That’s amazing, twinarchers! I’ve always felt the same! Never could I buy into Scarlett longing for Leslie Howard over Clark Gable!! … Frankly, I am glad we Vivien over Bette, though! I think Paulette Goddard would have been great, too.

I have always felt Errol would have made a great Ashley
and as has already been stated, more believable that Scarlett would be in love with him over Rhett

Do they get anymore gorgeous than Eleanor Parker?
