Need to comment my own article as I was too quick, I think. But this is just a try, I can delete the article any time.
Tina: 1) Would we need the WHOLE front page, or can it be cut like this? I think the entire page would be better. But then my scanner is too small and I need to photograph it.
2) Maybe we should include the date of publication, too?
3) Could we agree upon this size as suitable – 300 pixels broad?
4) I think we talked about this some time ago. Didn't you say that Errol never wore any kind of jewellery? Well… look at the picture…

It is very sad but this picture is turned – it is left to right instead right to left! I have the original!
But regarding your post, are you speaking of posting the magazine covers I have and want to post? If so, we have to post them under “Errol Front Page Magazines” and not on the main page, like I posted his movies for example and his yachts.
David would kill me if I post 50 magazine covers on the main page, maybe even the computer would explode – “Piff-Paff-Puff” and David would be bald headed due to the fact as he would rip them out! Can you visualize that! Ha-ha-ha
Coordinating size is a wonderful idea – you are so clever! I usually reduce them to 250 pixels, sometimes I make pictures bigger if detail is involved for our members to see it with better clarity and details.
I know it was to big – but did I ever love Robert's large picture, such wonderful detail.
Errol never adorned himself with jewelery, except he wore his wedding ring as you know – you run the post about it – and for some times a little locket around his neck which was in choker length. Any other occasion, I read he had a little ring on his little finger when he died.
1) + 3) Yes the WHOLE front page in 250 pixels size – I will try and see first!
2) Date would be fine, but not all have them. Have you never noticed in those days they were not very particular about dates.
4) He never did except as stated above! He wasn't a flashy man!
Wuff – here we go – did you know that you are a slave driver? But a very nice one!
Btw, can you scan them in a library and put them on a memory stick? Just a thought

Tina, this has been posted to the “EF Front Page Magazines” section, not to the main page. Poor David – no need to worry! (I laughed out loud when I read your scenario!) And yes, I was speaking of the magazine covers. I love being a slave driver…
As for the jewellery, then what is this on the picture? I think I have some more with necklaces… must have a look. Do you think they only put it around his neck for the photo shoot? But why?

IT IS THE LOCKET HE WORE FOR A PERIOD OF TIME I TOLD ABOUT.
IF YOU HAVE OTHER PICTURES WITH A NECKLACE IT IS THE SAME ONE.

Apparently he met this rich heiress and disappeared on a boat ride with her for a week or so and apparently she gave him the locket.
Can't remember where I read it!?!
I think I have to start a chronicle too of just – what I read where.
When I have some time I just might dig it up.

Ok, thanks Tina. Had to look up what locket means, now it's clearer. Sorry for my stupidity up there. I will dig again, too, and post this to the main page now so that the comments are not lost.

Oh my god – NO!
This picture is a concocted one and was taken in 1949 approximately a year before the wedding.
This was the case where Errol was arrested at his wedding in Monaco.
Her name is Danielle Dervin!
It is written up in MWWW, though not her name, on page 382 in my book, maybe on an other page if one doesn't have the original first edition.
BUT, the locket is the same! Keep at it!

Errol stated that he was on a friends boat as a guest when Danielle, also being on the boat, but did not notice her, purposely pretending to have stumbled and dropped herself backwards into Errol's lap. Who accidentally sitting in a convenient position for her to able to do this stunt. The photographer, apparently a girl friend, as arrange for the event took the picture and that was in October 1949. It was all a set-up.
Errol, being a so called womanizer was always an easy target for exploitation. He had a knack to be at the right time at the right or wrong place.

He reminds me of Gilbert Roland in Beneath the 12-Mile Reef. He always wore metals.

This was a movie made in 1953 with Robert Wagner and Terry Moore. They were sponge divers and Gilbert always wore his shirts open and his St. Christopher medal would show. Gilbert Roland played the Spanish Captain in I believe Sea Hawk.

Actually, this is a common and regular annoyance, not limited to France! As an artist, I have been studying faces for many a year and can often detect a face that is “flopped”, because of certain proportions and balances. In the case of Flynn, I know his face like the back of, well, his face! Attached is the correct viewing of the magazine pic. I'm sure you will all see the difference and sense its correctness:

Thank you for your comment:
Shouldn't it be titled “Shower Head On Errol Flynn”?
Sorry for it having to be deleted.
You caught me middle in my postings and deleting to try out the tab “Errol Front Page Magazines”, which doesn't quite work out.
I have written to David and ask him to convert the tab into a slide-show like the Photos, Errol's movies, Co-stars etc are.
If it isn't a slide-show we would have a roll-down page from here to Tasmania and back again. I looked at my pictures and I have about 80 magazine covers, so you see what I mean.
I always have to laugh at your witty off-the-cuff comments. Besides all your other talents you are also a fine comedian!
