“The case was drawing near to its close. I would either be sentenced to jail or not. Under the law there was no such thing as a suspended sentence or fine. None of those nice amenities. You either had it, or you hadn’t. I had no intention of going to jail. My two-engine plane was out at Burbank, waiting, so that if I got a bum rap, I’d get out there, hop in and leave America and my screen career forever.”

~ Would Flynn Have Flown? ~
I believe Errol would have definitely exited, stage left –
making it one of the most sensational stories of the 20th Century.
What do you think?

I agree he would have left. Jail would’ve been a death sentence to Errol Flynn who valued his freedom above anything. Yes he would definitely have flown the coop
Yes I believe he would have left the question is where would he have gone. Was Jamaica his favorite spot then? Flying out means leaving his beloved Sirocco behind?
Gosh – I am not sure about that. I did not think that he would do anything to disappoint his father – but then the trial may have been hurtful enough! Are his comments in MWWW just bravado? Maybe – I guess we will never know.
I must concur with the Daring one! Exit stage anywhere into the wild blue yonder! Errol could re-start anywhere he chose.
A step down but free! An island somewhere or the eastern oceans. A beard a boat and adventures continue!
