Ghost List for the After Party: A to Z

Hedy, Bev and Niv’ all are said to have said that Errol’s powerful spirit remained here after his death, or at least occasionally returned. The Hamblems and Nelsons believed so, too – along with other presences at Errol’s favorite old haunt, Mulholland Farm. Paranormal activities have abounded on the Zaca, too, it’s been said.

So, whether you believe in ghosts, or not, let’s explore the legends. Don’t be afraid of no ghosts.…. That’s the spirit.

If they exist at all, were they somehow connected to Errol, or perhaps to James Lankershim, the land’s former owner, or someone else entirely???

What are your thoughts?

The eerie Errol story of Zaca revisited.

I didn’t know that the presence on Zaca was so strong that an exorcism had to be performed. However was it Errol or some leftover spirit that was there just for the revelry? Same for the house where parties where the norm and many brought spirits with them. So it is very interesting when someone is in a haunted house or hotel where much has happened over the many years of life and death. I’ve been in old places and houses where I encountered apparitions and things moved around from their set place. Lights turned on in the night still on at morning. Oh well hows knows what they really are…….

Someplace on the Internet while researching Lankershim I recall stumbling upon a comment left on a site from a man claiming that the paranormal activity at Errol’s farm was more likely from Lankershim than our beloved Flynn. Irritatingly of course, he declined to elaborate. The best source for details on the Mulholland Farm hauntings is of course, the book by Matzen Errol Flynn Slept Here…. Robert devotes an entire, gripping and impossible to stop reading chapter to the subject. A must read!

I think those things can happen- One day after I discussed insurance with someone who lived on Errol Drive, I went for a walk and almost got run over by a truck marked :Hobart Trucking” on its side. Upon arriving home I caught a rerun of a popular TV series who discussed watching Captain Blood after dinner…. Coincidence? Not exactly paranormal just Errol saying hi I guess!

I have a copy in storage, I know Rory has a copy, and Jack Marino has one, too. I’ll check on it.

Yes, my friend Jack Marino was able to provide them. We don’t ask our Authors to provide photo credits as a rule. Often, it’s impossible to determine who really took the photos or has any credit due, and Authors can’t spend their time running these details down. Many aren’t even aware that the courtesy of a photo credit is something they can do, so we just don’t do it unless someone would like to have the information.
