Thanks for this post, Gent! Rod Taylor was a personal favorite of mine. I’m very sad that I never contacted him before his passing when I could have done it so easily. I’m glad I grew up and saw his movies when he was on every movie screen. The Time Machine was an an anchor film to me growing up. Would have been nice to thank him for his many wonderful performances …

TCM/NA will have a Rod Taylor retrospective on 1/29/15 starting @ 8:00pm EST. “The Time Machine” was one of my favorite sci-fi films. RIP: Rod Taylor!–A. R.

Yes, they will showing some of his best performances, unfortunately they won’t be showing “Dark of the Sun” which was directed by our friend, Jack Cardiff and which I believe is one of his best adventure films.–A. R.

Here is an amazing coincidence; actress Anita Ekberg has also just passed away and has joined one-time love Rod Taylor in the hereafter!–A. R.

Great comment, Gent! She was a surreal beauty, dubbed “Scandic Vulcano” by Italian industralist Gianni Agnelli. And as we know, she also was Baron Sepy`s inspiration for his golden statuettes. She truely was worth her weight in gold- an ounce for every pound!
