You know, there's that photo of Errol knocking some ketchup into a glass, and I was thinking that he might have been making the classic hangover remedy, the “prairie oyster” (not to be confused with the other prairie oyster). The recipe varies, but basically it's ketchup, one raw egg and some Worcestershire sauce, maybe a dash of pepper and Tabasco.
The secret of this is mostly the raw egg:
“The raw egg contains an amino acid called N-acetyl-cysteine. This is one of the building blocks of a natural compound called glutathione. In the body, this acts as a major minesweeper clearing out toxins from alcohol and cigarette smoke. Ironically, when you drink, you lower levels of this nutrient. So, building it up again is a good idea – especially since a much-quoted study into hangover cures by New Scientist magazine showed NAC was the best antidote of all!”
