Thank you, twinarchers! A rather new look at the film!

Russell Mulcahy’s ‘In Like Flynn’ hits Australian cinemas in October

I don’t know, but it looks interesting anyways. That first SIROCCO he owned didn’t look that good. I wonder if they go back and forth to Australia to Papua NG? They have a scene from Captain Blood, I wonder how much of his Hollywood life is in this. As I said it going to be interesting to see it

I agree with you Jack. I hope it is as real as possible and trailers can mislead the public. I have watched it twice and liked it better the second time. The first time I thought it was a bit too much but the second time it settled down. I read that in the film he steals the ship so that’s how they get away with how good it looks maybe. I wonder how it will be released? It does not have to be a theater release.

This may very much be the Errol Flynn film to end all Flynn bioflicks. Highlander director Russell Mulcahy for sure knows his craft, but if he opts for hammy instead of classy, it‘ll be „ Good night Errol-ene!“

The hammy part is my only concern.

I saw IN LIKE FLYNN at the weekend (Sunday 26th August 2018) at the CinefestOZ film festival in Busselton, Western Australia. This was the second festival to show the film following its world premiere in Queensland at the end of June.
I’ll be reviewing it for The Hollywood Reporter in a few days. Thomas Cocquerel was at the festival and I got to chat with him over lunch one day. Nice fella!

Very cool, Neil. Thanks for letting us know. Can’t wait to see your review.

Btw, would be good to know if Luke Flynn is (still) involved.

At the screening I attended, Luke was credited as one of the screenwriters and also as one of the executive producers.

Thanks, Neil, and thanks too, for the Umbrella Entertainment, and Blue Fox Entertainment, info.

My recollection is that, at least early on, there were plans for Luke to have an acting role in the film,. It appears however, that those plans may have been scuppered.

yeah there’s no “older Errol” in the film, contrary to what was reported in early dispatches.
