“Leave it to Errol Flynn to add a little zest to the selection of the ten loveliest pair of eyes in Hollywood. According to the Warner Brothers publicity department, Flynn picks the orbs of: _______ ____, ____ ________, ______ ________, ________ _______, _____ _____, ____ ________, _______ ______, ____ ______, ___ ________, and ____ ______.
What amuses is this.
Out of the whole 10, Flynn chooses only one Warner star, ___ ________, and she has been under suspension at the studio.”
LA Evening Herald Express – Harrison Carroll.
This is waaaaaay tougher for me than i expected it would be! The Warner star is Olivia de Havilland, I think she’s the 4th one down? I also see Marlene Dietrich (#3), Rita Hayworth? (#6), Hedy Lamarr (#8). I think #1 is Lucille Ball, and #5 is Betty Grable? No clue on the others.
Superb vision, Paula!!!!! All correct except for Lovely Livvie. So here’s the updated list:

Marion Davies or Thelma Todd and Donna Reed some of my guesses ???? Faith Domergue
Very good guesses, Bob, but those eyes apparently didn’t have it for Erro who went instead for other top ten orbs.
Oh my goodness…Warner star on suspension…Ann Dvorak?
Not Ann Dvorak, Paula, but your halfway there! … Errol used to date her, co-starred with her, and once attended a Very big and happy wedding with her once, a wedding that can be watched on YouTube.
I see a Scarlett and a Page turner: Paulette Goddard and Lana T., Eyesight 20-20, Monocleman Tim?
Eye Eye Captain Heinz. (That’s an optical allusion.)
PG Rated a No. 4, and LT a 10, and not just for her baby blues I’m sure!
So, let’s see, here’s where we are – 14 down, 6 to go.

My guess for whom these lovely peepers belong to is: Joan Blondell Ann Sheridan and Dorothy Lamour
Those are the eyes, daringthorpe! Congratulations and thanks to you and all who answered, participated, and followed along!!!!!
P.S. Here’s a wonderful video including a clip of the big and happy wedding I referred to as a clue for the Warner Brothers suspendee:
