I have seen a number of articles and records regarding this boat, Genene. If they are accurate, it was built in LA in 1931, with Errol obtaining it some unknow date (unknown to ne, that is) from either the original owner, or a subsequent one. One report indicates that Errol named the boat “Morocco”, with a following owner (re)naming it “Cheerio II”. Whether it was originally named “Cheerio” or “Cheerio II” I do not know. Nor have I seen any evidence of what years Errol owned and/sailed it.
