Merry Christmas Inga,Tim & everyone at the blog.I will be watching Never Say Goodbye tomorrow on Christmas Day,Errol dressed as Santa is too good to pass up. :D
Happy Holidays, A.R. Yes, that’s the one and only Lili Damita Fleen … relatively early in her marriage to Errol apparently, before he knew to always keep his chin down and his left up when around La Dynamita.
I know it was very serious and they could have really hurt each other or worse, but that story about Lili hitting Errol with a champagne bottle and him throwing a punch at her (as he was falling) and knocking her out, always makes me laugh. Not that it was exactly funny of course, but trying to picture it just seems so unreal almost like a cartoon or something.
That volcanic scene’s a must in the new movie, Lollie! Those two were something else. Of course, if Errol had REALLY punched Lili, that would have been the end of Mrs. Fleen!! Mr. Fleen had extremely powerful, “heavy fists”. Lili would have ended up beyond Burbank if Flynn truly swang (swang in the pugilistic sense, that is!)
Those two sure did bring life to Hollywood, didn’t they!
ELF! Oh I love it,very good. What a dreamy present that would be.Merry Christmas everyone! :D
Thank you, Lollie. A Top-Shelf ELF indeed.

P.S. Who plays Lili in the upcoming 35-39 bio!?
Yes that’s true,Lili was so little too if Errol had hit her she would have flown.Good question about who might play her,I’ll have to think.
P.S. I like how you find all these great photos so quick. :)
On the Honeymoon in Palm Springs, I believe. (Early rounds – before the gloves came off!)
