Rare copy of Showdown by Errol Flynn for sale!

22 Jan

A very rare copy of Errol Flynn's novel “Showdown” exists which was signed by Errol Flynn to his parents in May of 1946. The book was a gift to Marguerite Gauron of Port Antonio, Jamaica, by Flynn's widow, Patrice Wymore and is now about to be sold privately.

My friend writer and editor Dennis Mullen who recently returned from a trip to Jamaica and met both Pat Wymore and Marguerite Gauron while working at the Errol Flynn Marina doing some rebranding and editing work has been given the go ahead to offer this extremely rare autographed book for sale and he expects the book to sell for up to ten thousand dollars…

Inquiries may be sent to:

In******************@***il.com…

I will provide Dennis phone number to anybody who is interested in more details!

Email me at: za************@***il.com…

Hmm, interesting that he wrote “Dear *parents*”. Not surprising, but interesting.
And when he says he's not happy about it…did he mean he wasn't happy with how the book turned out?

Supposedly, since there was so much changed and cut out. In fact, is there a chance that the original version can be re-established?

I am sure he was not pleased with the way it turned out and how it was sold, either. If anybody on this blog has a way to share the news of the sale of this book around the internet, I would appreciate it! I would like to see it preserved in a collector's hands rather than waste away on a bookshelf in Jamaica…

How long did it take to write Showdown? Nora typed drafts before they were married
