Ia anybody aware of this?

17 Mar

I received an e-mail from Thriftbooks and I looked a little at their offerings and I found this book, which is quite strange to me.

There is a book for sale “My Wicket, Wicket Ways” by Sandra Cisneros,
released in 19992 by Knopf Publishing and it is a hardcover ISBN
0679418210
Can anybody use Errol Flynn's title of his book?
I am rather curious!

Errol and his Yachts!

15 Mar

We all know that Errol had the two Siroccos of which the later Sirocco is really the 'Karenita' who is alive and well and the Zaca, but apparently so I heard, that he had a big range of boats, anything from 30' up.
There was for instance the 'BARBARY' a 16 ton ketch and here are pictures of her – a nice little Beauty – and then read all about her in the link below!

It looks like most of his boat stood for something good, either before him or after him and for a good and famous cause! His choices of boats were great ones as he was!  And more important, they are still cruising on his beloved oceans and he is on them having a hell of a time!

Your and my job is now is to find the other boats Errol owned in his life, there supposed to be about 20 of them, large and small, so we have our job cut out and for something worthwhile and meaningful as we try to trace his life!

www.goseeaustralia.com…

Please keep searching and add them to his collection on this Blog! It would be great if all our Blog members would participate!  I know we have Master Sleuths amongst us!  I would love to hear from all of you and after this task I have a wonderful prize for you it will tickle you pink!
Have fun!

Rare Errol Flynn Napkin owned by Jan from Spain!

13 Mar

Here is a rare item owned by Jan from Spain who tells me that the picture sent to us was “…taken just now at night, the outer border is actually off-white but it
turned out pink. Surely Errol's spirit was looking over my shoulder
while I was snapping away. Anyway, it is a laugh, right?”

Errol Flynn's genuine Sterling silver cigarette case late 1930's

10 Mar

Dear Flynn fans,

With permission of David Dewitt I hereby wish to place this blog intending to sell this extremely rare item, ideal for the serious Hollywood memorabilia collector. I decided now to sell some of my collection. I own a good number of Flynn genuine items, all with their individual Certificate of Authenticity of course. Recently I have sold memorabilia of Errol Flynn to a variety of international clientele. I decided to let the fans know…

While I prepared the blog, there was a glitch and the blog got onto the website slightly unfinished. Sorry about that.

What I wanted to add to it was that rather than writing the full and
lenghty description plus numerous photos (as this fabulous item deserves
that) and would definitely “clog the blog”, I would send any serious
customer it on a personal basis and discuss details.

I am selling items on a “no” profit basis, just like to cash out here.
Apart from this cigarette case of Flynn (given to him by his idol John
Barrymore), I also own a few sets of cufflinks andd ascots and last but
not least an extraordinary smoking robe in mint condition, and items
from other A-list celebrities of the Golden era like John Barrymore,
Paul Muni, Orson Welles, Gary Cooper etc.

One tempting photo of this case in extremely good conditon will follow
soon. This item has its own individual CoA from a very reputable source
that only trades in genuine and special items. On the reverse side of
the case are the very apt words for Errol's remarkable character “Full
of Sound and Fury, John”.

I am to please and maintain a highly ethical approach will all my
dealings. I like to keep my international reputation intact. The lucky
buyer should not have any worries at all, I sincerely hope it will be
another dedicated fan just like myself since I got hooked on Errol since
1985 .

Thank you.

Pirate Latitudes

05 Mar

Well, I just finished reading Michael Crichton's Pirate Latitudes.  My husband, who I thought wasn't paying attention to my fascination with Errol Flynn read the book first.  He said “You and your blog friends need to read this–it was written for Errol Flynn.”  So when my turn came it took me about two weeks to finish 312 pages reading off and on.  If I had my choice I would have just sat and read cover to cover as it was so enjoyable.  It takes place in Port Royal and we are first introduced to Sir James the Governor.  Immediately, I find myself thinking Captain Blood.  When Captain Hunter is introduced he becomes Peter Blood.  I wonder if Michael Crichton was a fan of Errol Flynn and did he watch Sea Hawk and Captain Blood and create this story.  I read on.  There is a female pirate, Lazue, and I picture Halle Berry for some reason in my mind.  I can't quite decide if Olivia could play Lady Almont (niece of the Governor).  Basil of course would be Sanson the Frenchman.  There are several bad guys our hero takes out and twists and turns and two other possible love interests besides Lady Almont.  I think someone should merge Errol into a present day movie as the lead as he would blend in fabulously with Johnny Depp (Jack Sparrow) and Orlando.  (Sam, perhaps this is a part for Orlando!!)  Has anyone read this book?  If so, please comment.  If not, give it a try.  I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
