Per her autobiography, Ectasy and Me, Hedy Lamarr recalls her attendance at one of Errol’s legendary Mulholland pool parties:

“I plead guilty of joining Errol and one of his pals one warm Sunday afternoon in an upstairs room watching down through a trick ceiling while a famous, big-bosomed Italian movie star undressed to go swimming. The view was so clear it was almost as if we were in the same room as her. When she carefully rubbed the red marks her bra had left, the boys had a big laugh – though it was topped when she sniffed her underarms and then  dabbed perfume there.”
