In this photo one can see former homes of the two women involved in the story this quiz is about, a story Errol discusses, albeit in Errolian code, in (His) Wicked, Wicked Ways.

This once very popular (and unpopular) fellow is indirectly referenced in the story, though posthumously so.

Now I’m questioning my own quiz, Karl!
Lady Byron was not who I was thinking of, though her battling the also-narcissistic Lili would certainly have been a sight to see.

Perhaps Kathleen of Locksley looked lovelier with lipstick … or perhaps not:

Sorry GT, my apologies…didn’t mean to take away from the challenge at hand. Just thought there was a STRIKING similarity to your “photo hint” provided… and, other than that, no OTHER connection! Hopefully, some will think even HARDER… about yours now.

No problema, Sir Karl! I suspected that possibility, but wanted to make sure. Apt comparison of intimidating imageries indeed btw! In connection to this particular quiz story, Errol advises one of his night-club friends – a well-to-do and well-connected big shot in the region – that even a lion would cower to Tiger Lil’.
Sailing on – from the Muddy Mississippi to the Mission of Santa Barbara, where our very virile hero Errol was with (or not with, depending on one’s perspective) this Mississippi Princess of his.
