    From the Mail Bag:

    In regard to the photo of Flynn with Sinatra. The other two gentlemen ( r.) are news columnists Walter Winchell and Leonard Lyons during the Winchell Tribute at the Mocambo on October 7, 1947. Oh, by the way, Nora has been cut out of the photo to the left.


    A correction is in order when you do not follow the basic rule of research analysis…”double check”.

    By simply turning over the photo of Errol with Sinatra and friends, it became clear that the date I posted was a mistake. The actual date of the Winchell affair was August 8, 1947 which is also confirmed by
    an article by Louella Parsons in the Philadelphia Inquirer on August 7th. My apologies.
