I think I would have gone absolutely out of my mind if this had been my son.I think it would have killed Errol.
I hope one day Sean’s remains can be confirmed – small comfort for such a loss. I was listening to an old (from 2009 I think) interview that Rory gave and she mentioned that there had to be some way to verify -just something to bring closure. To lose your father at such a young age and then to lose a sibling is horrible. You never get to say goodby.
Thanks for posting Tim.

So true, Maria. Horrible. Rory is so great and so strong to be doing all the wonderful things she’s doing for her father, her brother, and all of Errol’s and Sean’s fans. We are all so blessed to have her.

Such a handsome and energetic man. So sad to have lost him at such an early age. He was doing what he loved!

What an awesome find, Maria! Thanks! This really gives a great glimpse into Lili’s social circle at that pivotal point of her life.
Maybe a French connection of some kind (if only because of language) with Yvonne Crillen, the second wife of Wizard of Oz cinematographer, Hal Rosson (who’s first wife was Jean Harlow, I believe.) Yvonne must have been something because she next married California Coca Cola mogul Al Barbee, a playboy/sportsman of sorts, who worked closely with Hollywood stars and studios to promote Coca Cola, and who built the landmark building in LA depicted below. Things go better with Coke, I guess.:

And how about this one: Carmen Considine is the daughter of legendary theatrical impresario Alexander Pantages, and the mother of Mickey Mouse Club child star, Tim Considine! Sean and him were close in age. Here he is looking at a portrait of his Mom:

Let’s see if we can see how some of the guests at sean’s baby shower looked, Maria!
Here’s “Mrs. Zoltan Korda” – Joan Gardner:

And Frances “Brooksie” Robinson:

P.S. We have another Wizard of Oz (and Gone with the Wind) connection via “Mrs. Victor Fleming, aka Lucile Rosson.

Thanks for the information Tim! I happened upon the Newspaper article by chance (I was actually looking for information on Dorothy Kilgallen and Errol) – what a lot of gossip back then!! No change in that I guess! The writers must have had spies everywhere. Now – were Errol and Lili “together” at that point?

I’m not sure, Maria. Excellent question. I believe that Errol & Lili were unofficially separated during most of Lili’s pregnancy – though he did famously learn from her during a brief ‘return home’. At the time of the shower, I don’t know.
Here’s Ada (Williams) Dodge, Miss Florida, first runner up Miss America (or the equivalent), married and Ince, then an Olympic track star, who manufactured Oscars and Emmys!

And here she is as Ada Ince:

Quite a cool baby shower!
