    Tina, is this a cover? I have it and thought it was a clipping. But it's wonderful anyway!

    Hi Inga;
    I thought “Modern” was a magazine, but I liked it! I think it is nice. I have another one where I am not sure, but it also is nice “In the Shower.” Does it matter – I can delete it?

    Of course it does not matter and don't delete it. I thought “modern” was just an adjective for “Sea Hawk”. Never mind, it's beautiful and should stay where it is.

    I also posted the shower one now for you to see – have a look – he is so cute on it.
    What do you think? Delete? They are the only two I have which are not covers – maybe.

    Hi Kathleen;
    It is a very nice picture and I wish one could read the article, but when I zoom in the words are distorted. I am sorry – I am unable to oblige, maybe one day I find it someplace else and would be able to read it, everything is possible – we can hope – right!!
    Take care,
    Tina

    I happen to have it as a real clipping, so here we go:
    The Sicrocco is the only thing that dominates dominator Errol Flynn. He bought her because “A boat is a perfect retreat”. He sails her because sailing is a reflex action with him. “I have her loaded down with brass and pretty things and showerbaths and gadgets,” he says. One of the gadgets being a radio telephone with which he can contact anyone, anywhere – if and when he wishes. He's as colorful as the law allows. He's off across the Pacific, down to the South Seas, to hunt gold, to shoot game, fish at the drop of an anchor. The headlines call him a “swashbuckler”. He doesn't care because he never reads them. All he does care about is his wife “Damita” (he doesn't call her “Lili”), the feel of brine in his face, and the radio-telephone trick. Up until now the Sirocco has taken him into pretty deep waters. Up until now, he's always brought her safely in.

    Hi Inga and Kathleen!
    Trust Inga to come up with the answer! Just wonderful!

    The radio-telephone story is funny somehow… I think he had one on the Zaca later, too, and yet in the press coverage about Errol in Nice in the 1950s, they stated that he had his hotel room because he needed a telephone!! He could have used the one on the Zaca… well, the French press.

    We just had a loooong chat… We talked about how happy he is that so many people are still thinking of him and how much he enjoys being with us and having a great time.
