Well, where does one start….I suppose I shall start with….why the hell am I writing as if its my autobiography, who the hell is going to flipping read this! Well those of you who dare to…you are very, very brave people!
Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland are my life….I feel a bit like Cathy in ‘Wuthering Heights’ “I AM HEATHCLIFF” or rather “ I AM ERROL AND OLIVIA!” its not easy you know to be two people. I love these two for SO many reasons. Im a 17 year old boy who thinks WAY to deep than he should. When most boys my age will have a poster of Megan Fox on their bedroom wall, I have pictures of Errol and Olivia and many other stars….ok I admit I have a Keira Knightley calendar, but I feel that the old Hollywoodians are the true stars of all time.
I feel that Errol Flynn has helped me grow up a lot more with today’s attitude towards life. If I hadn’t read books on Errol or by Errol I would not have been able to understand when my friends talked about sex, drugs and rock’n’roll…..minus the r’n’r. I really do. I feel some of his wit has rubbed off on me too.
My first Errol Flynn/Livvie de Havi film was ‘Robin Hood’ my precious 2 disc edition….I remember looking at the cover…“Errol Flynn, what a nice name, unusual!” later that year in 2003 I saw in the Radio Times (for those not in UK, it’s a TV guide) that a film called ‘The Sea Hawk’ was on with this Errol Flynn. So I watched it, and I LOVED it. So I went into HMV (UK DVD shop) but you could only get it in a boxset of Errols films. It was expensive, so I saved my pocket money up for a couple of weeks and bought it. It wasn’t until after getting the Boxset that I became a fan of Olivia. Now they are my stars, in school id draw pictures of them for Art, tell my mates about them (they never showed much interest)
So in 2007 when I made my youtube account ‘Cader1dris’ I decided to meet friends who would talk to me about them, by putting my music tributes on, how I felt about these people, I wanted to show the world. And I have.
Im studying film at the moment, and I want to become a film director. And if I do, I will make a film about Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland….it will be a blockbuster!
