Some of you might have followed the auction on ebay – Errol's wedding cake toppers were sold yesterday for $760 – the starting price was $99. This was an amazing set of the porcelain figures plus some nice documents. It'd be interesting to know in whose collection they are now and especially – where they came from! Who actually owned them before and then sold them, who collected all the documents… Imagine the situation: what happened to the figures after the cake was eaten? Did Lili take them along and keep them in a glass cabinet? I find it most fascinating to imagine which way they went – probably it was a very conventional one.

Sadly, I got outbid in the few moments. A great collection, and at $760, a great deal.

Did you happen to enquire about the history of the items?
