A little tribute to Errol.
Beyond the Mast..
Fifty years beyond the mast
We reflect upon a stellar past
Let beauty take the blame for sin
Let Sirocco's breeze cut your 'half grin'.
For all you left on celluloid
No one has come to fill that void
Our hearts were hoisted
but flailed in zephyr's
and those of us who love forever
are all at sea
for all he meant to you or me
Where ever 'tis his spirit roams
across the wild and salty foams
to chase the tails of cosmic comets
so 'live this life' and dine well from it
so rest ye well ?…to hell with that!
set the sails and heave and tac
and do all things to make minds boggle
and live and laugh and sing all songs
and toggle and toggle and toggle along …
For Errol.
Robert, this is the best picture (clearest) I've seen yet. Is the Garden of Everlasting Peace easy to find? I'm going in November. Also, how far is Muholland Drive from Glendale (to get to Torreyson)? You boys went on birthday night and I was wondering which to see first? Did anyone check out Find a Grave site? There are soooo many fans that leave comments! Thanks. K
I have a jpg map of Forest Lawn I can e-mail you. Flynn is in the same area with Clayton Moore and Spencer Tracy. Walt Disney is outside of the garden and around the corner and Alan Ladd, George Burns and many others are in the Freedom Maus. We'll all help in any way we can.
Ok, I'll let you both know because I'm interested in seeing Forest Lawn and Mulholland Drive and parts of Hollywood. When I was little I lived near Inglewood and my grandmother was off of 43rd on Griffin Avenue (which isn't far from Glendale because we shopped there) but of course I'm not gonna remember!

Thanks. It's quite easy to find, and Mulholland is only about five miles away. I can guide you when the time comes. Keep me posted!
